Mary Ward International - Australia

MWI in Australia

Mary Ward International Australia (MWIA) has been established as part of a global network to support the development works associated with the followers of Mary Ward, the sisters of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Loreto Sisters).

MWIA creates ways that the vast network of people associated with our educational and other works might collaborate with our national and international mission for justice and development.  It provides a collective umbrella under which existing projects will continue, while retaining their separate identities.  MWIA will facilitate the equitable distribution of resources by identifying those works most in need of support.

MWIA Mission

To promote and support the works for education, justice and development undertaken by Loreto Sisters and their colleagues in areas of need in Australia and in the many countries in which they work.

MWIA Values
