International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

The theme for women religious around the world this year is human trafficking. A number of resources are available including prayers and rosary medititations.

 International Women's Day Parish Kit

The Office for the Participation of Women together with the Council for Australian Catholic Women has launched a Parish Kit, which is being made available free to all Australian parishes to celebrate International Womens Day.

The Parish Kit contains prayers, reflections and ways in which parishes might mark the crucial place of women in the Catholic Church. It has been prepared for use on the 3rd Sunday during Lent, which is the 7th of March.
