What we do

Loreto sisters and students

We give our lives freely in the service of God. We work and volunteer in collaboration and partnership, sharing our gifts and skills to enhance the freedom of people, respect human dignity and the rights of women, provide access to education, advocate for social justice and contribute to the reform of the church.

“Let your vocation be constant, efficacious and affectionate.”
Mary Ward

In all that we do, we seek to deepen and share a meaningful faith."Whether we work in justice, welfare, spiritual, academic, youth or other ministries, we bring the witness of faith and spirituality and the freedom of education to whatever we do". (IBVM Constitutions Vol ii, 2.10).

Helping others rise to their potential

“Those who are very poor or lack the very basics of life, those in need of any kind have a special claim on our energies and love” (IBVM Const Vol ii 2.7). We share our Gospel values, gifts and skills, to help and empower others in unique ways:
