Our projects

Loreto programs focusing on community development, education and social justice throughout rural remote Australia, East and South Africa, Timor Leste and India have been made possible thanks to our generous donors.
Our projects are run by dedicated and hard-working Loreto Sisters, volunteers and community workers. Many community workers are part of the local communities being assisted by MWIA and have been trained to contribute in the project using MWIA resources.
The Loreto Sisters that run these projects do so with rigorous planning, extensive research, community consultation and engagement; and ongoing evaluation to constantly improve and review the outcomes of their programs. Many of them, in the tradition of Mary Ward, have ‘dared to imagine’ and have moved to remote places to assist where the need is great.
Our projects aim to provide education and social justice programs that empower communities, contributing to capacity building and self-sufficiency.
